If you're going to be in the Windy City this weekend, then (A) I totally envy you; and (B) You should come see our authors at C2E2: The Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo. Catch up with Iron Druid Chronicles author Kevin Hearne, Baby Mouse creators Jennifer and Matthew Holme and many more on panes, and at our booth on the exhibit floor for signings! If C2E2 plays out anything like our trips to San Diego Comic Con and New York Comic Con, then we'll have lots of goodies and stuff for you to check out, and you never know who will be hanging around and shooting the breeze with our authors at the Del Rey booth: Artists, authors, editors and more! Some of the panels that you might want to check out include "Geek Geek Revolution", "Supernatural City", and "Building Fantastical Worlds and Dystopias". Of course, there will be plenty of other authors and other interesting people besides our own at C2E2. Who? Oh, gosh. Entertainers like Brian Posehn (geek favorite comedian), Alfie Allen from A Game of Thrones ("Theon Greyjoy") and a bunch of other stars from the show, Chandler Riggs from The Walking Dead (Where's Carl???), Breaking Bad's R.J. Mitte (Walt Jr.). Writers like Charlaine Harris, Patrick Rothfuss and his beard, Jacqueline Carey, John Scalzi, Mary Robinette Kowal, Simon R. Green. Comics guests like Brian Azzarello, ("100 Bullets"), Neal Adams ("Batman"), Tony Moore ("The Walking Dead"), Gail Simone ("Batgirl"), Eric Powell ("The Goon"), and Stan "The Man" Lee (Um... Almost assuredly the guy responsible for if not everything then most of the things that you know and love: Spider-Man, etc. etc. etc.) There's a bunch of entertainment exclusives, too. You'll want to check these out if you're a collector like me. (I fought the collecting bug for a while, but darned if those Star Wars Black figures pulled me back in...): Sketches from your favorite artists, limited edition posters, toys... er... collector's display items from Fugitive, Nerd City, and cool games like "Kill Shakespeare". You probably know that tickets for San Diego Comic Con sell out within a mouse's breath of becoming available to purchase, but at smaller cons like C2E2, you don't have to have had your great grandfather register for tickets to have a chance to get in. I just checked the C2E2 website, and at the time of this writing, they are still available! Grab yours now before the price goes up at 11:59 PM CST! DOWNLOAD OUR SCHEDULE HERE!!!
